About the Role
The Admissions Officer (Domestic) plays a key role in processing VTAC applications and Domestic direct applications. This includes evaluating domestic applications for Vocational Education (VE) and Higher Education (HE), assessing Advanced Standing requests, conducting Pre-Training Reviews, Skills First assessments and deferrals. This position is accountable for upholding service levels and quality standards related to application processing and Advanced Standing assessments. The Admissions Officer provides specialized support to the Admissions Team Leaders, Coordinator, and the Domestic Admissions Manager to ensure efficient and effective operations within the admissions department.
There are two roles being recruited for, one fulltime 12-month fixed term position and one fulltime 7-month fixed term position.
About You
To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:
- Organisational skills, including strong attention to detail, the ability to follow-through on tasks and the ability to work under pressure and to deadlines
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
- Expert knowledge of Swinburne University of Technology courses, entry requirements and selection requirements
- Ability to effectively use word processing, spreadsheet and database packages, preferably Windows 10 and Excel

Qualifications
Completion of a degree without subsequent relevant work experience; or completion of a diploma and subsequent relevant work experience; or a combination of relevant experience and education training
