Cedarville University invites applications for a part-time Coordinator of the Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (PNP) Focus Area in the School of Nursing. This is a part-time, ranked faculty position with instructional responsibilities in the fall, spring, and summer semesters. This faculty member is responsible for providing overall leadership and oversight for the PNP focus area in collaboration with the Associate Dean of Graduate Nursing Programs.
Our School of Nursing faculty seek to influence the profession of nursing for Jesus Christ and to prepare graduates to use nursing as a ministry for Christ. This purpose is accomplished by each faculty member contributing to nursing knowledge in their area of expertise, providing leadership in nursing and health care arenas, and teaching students how to practice nursing grounded in biblical truth. Each faculty member is expected to engage in these activities through teaching and mentoring students, scholarship, service and growth in Christian character, and developing and maintaining relationships with local and/or global health care agencies and nursing services.
This position is subject to the University's verification of credentials and other information required by law and Cedarville University policies, including the successful completion of a criminal history investigation. Applications will be accepted until the position is filled. This position is pending budget approval.
Position Requirements:
- Eligible for State of Ohio RN licensure and current RN licensure
- Nationally certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner
- A minimum of three years in clinical practice credentialed as a PNP and eligible for credentialing in the state of Ohio
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP), PhD, or terminal degree equivalent required
- Commitment to biblical integration in and out of the classroom
- Profession of faith in Jesus Christ as personal Savior
- Adherence to the Cedarville University Doctrinal Statement, Community Covenant, and General Workplace Standards
