About the role

As an integral member of our team, you will be committed to delivering student-centred high-quality learning and teaching experiences, that are closely linked to and reflect contemporary health needs and contexts. You will contribute to the development and delivery of Occupational Therapy units at undergraduate and graduate levels and, the Institutes research course and administrative functions.

You will:

• develop, teach, coordinate and moderate units in Occupational Therapy;
• undertake teaching and assessment of undergraduate, honours and postgraduate students;
• undertake research activities; and
• supervise students undertaking project units, honours programs and research higher degrees.

About you

You will work as part of the Institute’s team of academic and administrative staff. You will possess proven educational, research and professional experience and seek to embed long and short-term research strategies for the Institute within the strategic framework of the University and in accordance with its mission. You will be a creative thinker and avid problem-solver, who possesses initiative, innovation, and a can-do attitude.

You will possess:

• current unrestricted registration as a Registered Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA);
• commitment to scholarship and a potential for academic advancement;
• demonstrated commitment to and enthusiasm for teaching, and a good teaching record; and
• previous experience in academic administration, including the administration of units.
