Salary package: $91,362 to $105,165 plus 17% superannuation

About the Division 

The University Experience Division is within the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) Portfolio. The University Experience Division provides a range of support, enrichment, and advisory services to help students achieve their educational goals.

Student Safety and Wellbeing

The Student Safety and Wellbeing team provides free and confidential support to students experiencing a range of issues that can impact on their university experience and academic engagement. Our Case Managers have a background in health, social work, counselling and human services, working from person-centred and trauma-informed practice frameworks. Ensuring students are treated with dignity and respect, receiving transparent and confidential services to empower them to make choices and connect with others. The team is responsible for the coordinated response to student disclosures of sexual misconduct and other harmful behaviours as well as supporting the university response to student critical incidents.  

About the opportunity

The Case Manager Student Safety and Wellbeing works across the University to support students to participate in their education by providing case management across a number of issues that can impact on their safety and wellbeing and students experience, including responding to disclosures of harmful behaviours.

The incumbent will provide support to students presenting with a range of issues including mental health, trauma, grief, housing and financial issues, and transition to University and Canberra as well as develop and deliver educational workshops to students.

The successful applicant will:

  • Have experience in providing case management and service coordination
  • Be able to demonstrate collaborative practice in a multidisciplinary team
  • Be able to build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders
