Position Details:

  • Salary Range: $90,000 - $100,000 annually 
  • Full-Time, Exempt
  • 40 hours per week 
  • Fully Onsite Position in Bellevue, NE

Essential Job Responsibilities: 

  • Together with the Dean of Academics and the Provost, ensure WSCUC and CCE institutional and programmatic educational standards and state requirements are met in all academic areas.
  • Teach classes in the curriculum up to ten to twelve hours per week (more if necessary).
  • Collaborate with the Dean of Academics to ensure clear communication and learning regarding the academic and teaching policies and procedures. 
  • Participate in the Academic Planning Group (APG). 
  • Through the academic faculty provide an educational experience to the students that is congruent with the vision, mission, and philosophy of the institution.
  • Managing the academic faculty; address concerns; oversee faculty attendance; and observe instruction.
  • Manage disciplinary actions that may arise in the academic setting regarding faculty.
  • Work with the institutional department chairs and Registrar for faculty and course scheduling each quarter.
  • Collaborates with institutional department chairs to ensure academic experience is well organized and prepares students for clinical curriculum and courses.
  • Collaborates with the Dean of Academics and the institutional department chairs at the main campus, to train, coordinate and achieve in the areas of hiring, supervision, development, evaluation and termination (as needed) of faculty, and to coordinate department meetings and other meetings. 
  • Serve as the point person for all faculty concerns at the Bellevue campus and coordinate/collaborate with the Provost and the Dean of Academics (and others as needed) on resolution/solutions. 
  • Assists the Provost, Dean of Academics and the institutional department chairs in the oversight of the compliance process and procedures for the institution at Bellevue. 
  • In conjunction with the Provost, manage the initial phase of disciplinary actions with regard to faculty that may arise in the AES
  • Work with Institutional Research and Campus Executive Vice President to up level faculty based on data assessment.
  • Reports to the EVP regarding strategic planning, assessments and outcomes.
  • Ensures that proctoring is set up and staffed for all examinations (especially at midterm and finals). Needs to incorporate other administrators and faculty in the proctoring. 

Academic Oversight:

  • Working with institutional department chairs, academic faculty and the curriculum committee to maintain the curriculum and courses to ensure students meet required competencies when entering the Health Center.
  • Partner with the Dean of Academics and the Executive Director of Institutional Research in utilizing outcome data for the ongoing development of academic and instructional effectiveness.

Faculty Supervision:

 At the Bellevue Campus:

  • Assess for continuous improvement through course and faculty evaluation. 
  • Assist with faculty development including the adoption and use of current campus technologies. 
  • Serve as an intermediary in the resolution of student/faculty conflicts.
  • Oversee and manage faculty attendance and the timely start and finish of classes.

Administrative Duties:

  • Facilitate communication between faculty, students, institutional department chairs, the Dean of Academics, the Provost and the Bellevue Directors.
  • Participate in an ongoing institutional self-study process.
  • Participate in the strategic and annual planning process of the college. 
  • Along with any duties that are included in the job responsibilities above. 

Compliance Duties: 

  • Assist in the formulation of integrated strategic compliance in planning and reporting to support the college's vision, mission, and values including short- and long-term policy development, review, approval, implementation, and evaluation.
  • Assists in providing expert guidance, collaboration, and support in the implementation process for key compliance strategies, initiatives, and action plans.
  • Assist with both CCE and WSCUC reporting and planning as it pertains to academics at the Bellevue Campus
  • Assist with any compliance related issues that may arise. This is to include but not limited to: Financial Aid, Federal Work Study, Sevis, and Veterans Assistance.  
  • Stay in alignment with the college wide compliance calendar. 


Additional Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Promote a culture of scholarship and teaching excellence. 
  • Represent the Bellevue Campus at various meetings including but not limited to ACC-RAC. 
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications: 

  • DC or EdD, or Ph.D.in Education or a related field preferred.
  • Must have a minimum of five years of higher education experience. 
  • Experience working with compliance-related issues in higher education.
  • Minimum of three years teaching experience.
  • Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Personal Characteristics 
  • Ability to use sound, independent judgment and to manage and impart confidential information.
  • Knowledge of current and emerging equal opportunity and affirmative action legislation, issues, and trends.
  • Knowledge of public policies, legislation, guidelines, and standards pertaining to discrimination and sexual harassment in the work place.
  • Supervisory and employee development and leadership skills.
  • Strong analytical, evaluative, and objective critical-thinking skills and the ability to analyze, summarize, and effectively present data.
  • Knowledge of the concepts, practices, principles, and procedures of strategic business planning and reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies in a diverse community.
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance systems and controls.
  • Understanding of traditional chiropractic philosophy and tenets is preferred.
  • Effective project management and organizational skills.
