Assistant Professor of Chemistry/Non-Tenure Instructor 

The School of Arts and Sciences of Gwynedd Mercy University invites applications for a non-tenure-track instructor or assistant professor position in chemistry to begin in August 2024. Primary teaching responsibilities will include general chemistry for the biology program, as well as chemistry for health professions students, assisting in curriculum development, and advising biology students. 

A minimum of a Master’s degree in chemistry or a related discipline is required. Applicants must also provide evidence of excellence in teaching undergraduate courses and articulate an understanding of the value of a liberal arts education. 

Applicants are strongly encouraged to highlight experience with developing and delivering online/hybrid courses. Ability to collaborate with an instructional design team, incorporating principles of understanding design for learning (UDL), and integrating multimedia resources and educational tools to enhance student engagement and retention of course material are all preferred in candidates for the position.
