Workforce Transition Partner (HEO 7) for the People & Culture Domain, based in the Integration Management Office (IMO)

  • Based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the People & Culture Domain at the City West Campus
  • Full-time fixed term contract until 31 December 2025
  • Commencement Salary: $96,696 per annum plus 17% superannuation

We are seeking a Workforce Transition Partner to contribute to one of the largest changes to higher education in Australia over the past 30 years and help shape the new Adelaide University. You will work for the University of South Australia and be based in the Integration Management Office (IMO) in the People & Culture Domain.

About the role

As the Workforce Transition Partner, you will play a pivotal role in supporting multiple Academic and Professional Areas/Units as they transition to the organisational structure within the new Adelaide University. You will implement the Workforce Transition Strategy and provide expert guidance and support to align the workforce with the new organisation strategic direction. You will facilitate a smooth and efficient transition process that maintains organisational productivity, employee engagement, and overall operational continuity. 

Core Responsibilities

  • Conduct workforce modelling, team, and role design 
  • Prepare organisational charts reflecting the new structure, ensuring clarity and alignment with strategic goals
  • Position description development and evaluation
  • Manage remuneration adjustments and employment contracts
  • Manage the assignment processes for transitioning positions. Assess and assign staff for placement into Adelaide University positions
  • Develop and implement placement criteria and assessment methodologies 

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in workforce planning, organisational development, or a related role 
  • Proven experience in supporting organisational change and workforce transitions 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and use data effectively 
  • High-level interpersonal, written and oral communication skills, including negotiation skills, and the ability to relate to a broad cross section of people
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and build strong relationships 
  • Highly developed organisational and project management skills and experience in managing multiple priorities, projects and resources within tight timelines
