Who are we?

SPARK@Deakin is an experiential program designed to give students, alumni and staff an opportunity to see and experience the early stages of the entrepreneurial path. This includes seminars for inspiring and promoting entrepreneurship and networking; workshops for students to gain hands-on experience in startup skills; and Deakin funding, space and mentoring for successful startup ideas.

As a Program Manager, you will:

• Lead the program design, development and implementation of SPARK
• Develop relationships and interact with the Division and the external entrepreneurial community to promote the program
• Consult with key stakeholders and communicate the program to the wider Deakin University community both internally and externally
• Lead the delivery of all events associated with the program to ensure consistency of message and branding that will engage prospective participants and enhance the reputation of Deakin
• Manage the recruitment of program mentors, speakers and SPARK@Deakin partners that are passionate and have complimentary skills and experience
• Develop reports that track the success of SPARK@Deakin
• Consolidate program design concepts into broader entrepreneurial pathways aligned to other program services offerings                                                                                                                                                                                  

To be successful, you’ll have:

• Postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or
• An equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training; or
• Extensive experience and project management expertise
• Demonstrated experience in a program and/or project management role using a variety of methodologies, tools and practices
• Demonstrated experience to manage and contribute to multiple projects concurrently
• Experience in Human Centred Design principles aligned to co-design and delivery
• Experience in technology or system project management in large complex organisations
• Experience of the entrepreneurial community
