About the role - About the role


You will be providing high-quality administrative support to students and staff which contributes to the effective and efficient running of School programmes. Providing front-line services, the role requires the ability to maintain professional relationships while managing interruptions. You will work collaboratively with team members and the leadership team, providing accurate and timely advice to students and staff. 

Salary will be in the range of $66,698 to $79,256 per year pro rata based on skills, knowledge and experience brought to the position. This is a part time role (FTE0.5) of 18.75 hours a week to be worked Monday to Friday, where the hours per day can be negotiated. This is a fixed term role commencing as soon as possible through to 31st January 2025. 

 

Who are you? - Who are you?

Your professionalism and approachable manner will be essential as you interact with students, staff and external agencies. Your experience in administration will bode well as you manage the programme administration requirements, including preparation of documentation, data entry and maintaining databases. 

Your excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills will be important as you work as part of a team to develop and maintain current knowledge of programme requirements, regulations and offerings within the Division and across the University programmes.

Te Wānanga Toi Tangata Division of Education includes Te Kura Toi Tangata School of Education, Wilf Malcolm Institute of Educational Research, Te Whai Toi Tangata Institute of Professional Learning and Poutama Pounamu. It boasts a richness of research led teaching and professional learning in education in areas including initial teacher education, education and society, human development and digital learning. The Division offers academic programmes in social sciences in education and initial teacher education at undergraduate level, and a range of programmes from counselling to educational leadership across both taught and research postgraduate.
