The role UTS Advancement is to build philanthropic support for the university’s strategic priorities through sustained and mutually beneficial relationships with individuals, the community, corporates, trusts and foundations. Additionally, Advancement is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with over 270,000 alumni of UTS through a program of experiences.

About the Role
Advancement is seeking to appoint a Campaign Director to strategically lead a campaign team, involving planning, implementing and overseeing a successful, sustainable pan-university fundraising campaign in all of its facets, across its lifespan.
The Director will manage a thriving and sustainable portfolio of major, principal and transformative prospective donors and donors. Qualify, identify and cultivate prospective donors (1M+) and nurture relationships with current donors. Solicit principal and transformative gifts.
The Director will lead and oversee the execution of a fundraising campaign in all of its component parts including: manage and report on the campaign budget; work with relevant leadership, boards, committees and volunteers to execute the fundraising campaign; lead, coach and manage a team of campaign fundraisers (four FTE); support the development of metrics for campaign monitoring; and monitor and report on success, challenges and recommend innovations and improvements.
Through creative and visionary storytelling, the campaign will bring to life ground-breaking programs to inspire the nation. We are already making progress towards this, through initiatives such as the National First Nations College, which once completed, is set to be one of the largest of its kind globally.
This will be the largest ever university fundraising campaign for UTS, and we’d love for you to be a part of it
Please outline in a separate Expression of Interest document (not more than two pages) your suitability for this position by telling us about your success in:
• Identifying, cultivating and soliciting principal (1M) and transformative (10M) gift prospects with a strong track record of closing -seven-eight figure gifts.
• Building relationships with individuals & organisations through articulating and delivering a value proposition that furthers the interests of both the individual/organisation and UTS.
• Developing and leading a successful philanthropic fundraising campaign.
• Strategic planning, operationalising and socialising plans with clear meaningful metrics.
• The Australian fundraising environment, philanthropy and its application to higher education in fundraising related fields.
Your experience in supporting the advancement of First Nations initiatives and your deep understanding of First Nations ways of being and doing.

Remuneration and Benefits
A competitive remuneration package, including an employer contribution of up to 17% superannuation, will be on offer to the successful candidate.

This position is full-time and appointment will be made on a continuing basis. The team work on a hybrid arrangement with a minimum three days on campus.
