The Opportunity

You will provide essential financial support and guidance to stakeholders. You will assist financial officers in various tasks, including travel arrangements, accounts processing, and taxation administration. Your role will involve effective communication with internal and external parties, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations. Your contributions will help maintain financial integrity across the University.

You will

• assist with the University’s operational financial functions to ensure the integrity of accounting outputs and efficient provision of accounts payable, accounts receivable, credit card and travel functions;
• assist with the development of systems and processes to ensure that these functions are performed in a timely manner; and
• liaise closely with members of the Financial Services team and staff across the University on a range of financial and travel related issues.

As a skilled communicator, you’ll excel at building relationships with clients and managing sensitive information confidentially.

You will possess:

• completion of a diploma or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training in an account’s environment, including taxation requirements, and general ledger reconciliation;
• computer literacy including sound experience using accounting software and the Microsoft Suite.
• knowledge and experience with travel systems and the travel industry to support sourcing and processing of bookings for corporate travel; and
• knowledge of and ability to apply GST and FBT legislation.
