Lab Coordinator
Bard College's science division seeks candidates for Laboratory Coordinator to begin July 2024.
The primary responsibility for this position is the preparation, set-up, and maintenance of undergraduate teaching laboratories in biology and, to a lesser extent, in other laboratory sciences. The candidate will also assist in ordering supplies, managing inventory, and maintaining model organisms and research equipment. This position will also provide occasional administrative support for the Division of Science, Mathematics and Computing, on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess the ability to handle multiple tasks with varied timelines in a frequently busy and demanding environment
- They should be self-motivated and capable of completing high-quality, independent work, as part of a larger team of laboratory staff, and in cooperation with faculty
- The position requires a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or another laboratory science
- Previous experience is preferred but not necessary

Compensation: $24-$29/ hour
This salary range reflects the College's good faith and reasonable estimate of the compensation for the position at the time of the job posting. Salary decisions are dependent on several factors including but not limited to market and organizational considerations, experience, and qualifications of a selected candidate as well as internal and external equity.
