"Adjunct Instructor of Management Information Systems"

Duties:

The Meredith College School of Business is seeking an adjunct professor for one BUS-305 Management Information Systems course at the undergraduate level. This course fulfills a requirement for the Business Administration major and the Hospitality and Tourism major.

The purpose of this course is to provide students with the vocabulary needed to understand information systems, and the skills necessary to use such systems to support business activities. The course also explores how information technology helps to achieve competitive advantage and improve decision making across business processes. Features of spreadsheets, databases, and other appropriate software will be used.

Qualifications:

- MBA or MIS-focused Masters degree, preferably from an AACSB-Accredited Business School, with at least eight (8) years of significant industry experience in the related field OR 10+ years of experience working directly in MIS-related roles.

- Proven track record of effective teaching preferred, especially for instruction in MIS and basic-to-intermediate spreadsheet and database skills.

- Practical experience working in MIS-related areas is a plus.

- Live in the state of North Carolina and available to teach face-to-face on-campus.
