  • Base Salary $86,511 - $96,863 + 17% superannuation

About the opportunity

Our teams incorporate scientific breakthroughs into clinical practice, directly improving patient care and the health of our community.

The Research Support Officer will be expected to work across various projects and project groups, involving yourself in the research administration tasks and supporting research activities including a clinical trial. You will be responsible for assisting seniors and other research team members by completing and facilitating the administrative workload, supporting research activities and ensuring your work is accurate, timely, and impactful.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

  • Support senior research staff by facilitating research administrative tasks including regular project reporting, ethics requirements, funding reporting requirements, etc.
  • track progress on a weekly basis to ensure workload and timelines are being met
  • prepare preliminary research reports, set up meetings with various internal and external staff, and conduct minute-taking
  • provide support in research activities including scoping reviews, environmental scans, survey design and development, qualitative research design and administration and clinical trial monitoring.
  • prepare and assist with collation and presentation of research and findings
  • work closely with senior researchers, internal, and external stakeholders, ensuring positive relationship building and networking
  • provide support for submissions and applications to secure funding for research, and coordinate approval processes for applications
  • complete ad-hoc tasks, activities, or requirements under the request of your relevant seniors or supervisor

About you

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant health field
  • experience with RedCap, Microsoft Suite, as well as qualitative and quantitative software
  • ability to work across multiple projects or requirements at once, ensuring timeliness and organisational skills to meet conflicting deadlines
  • excellent administrative skills, coupled with effective and tactful communication skills (both verbal and written) together with strong problem-solving skills and the ability to use initiative and exercise sound judgement
  • previous experience or knowledge of clinical trials, health quantitative and qualitative research, or the related systems (desirable).
