Job Description
The Office for Research delivers professional research support services with functions spanning key infrastructure and facilities, grants, development, ethics and integrity, policy, performance and reporting. Griffith University is one of Australia’s largest universities. Within the role of Senior Manager, Research Grants, you will be responsible for the provision of high-level research administration of Griffith’s competitive research grants program which contributes to the University’s $115M of reportable HERDC income each year.
About you
As this is a pivotal and senior role, you will have a strong track record of supervising a team responsible for processing a large volume of grant applications and funding agreements. In this position you will draw upon your in-depth knowledge of research management and funding opportunities and your excellent planning skills.
Business process improvement and effective use of modern information technology tools and systems to streamline processes for the team, will also be one of your strengths.
You will be a self-starter and team player. The ability to collaborate effectively with other administrative units, the broader Griffith research community, and external funding bodies is essential, and you will be given the autonomy and responsibility to make a significant contribution to the Office for Research and the University.
What we can offer
This is a continuing, full-time position and will be primarily based at the Griffith University Nathan campus but regular travel to Gold Coast campus may also be required. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Flexible work arrangements are available and a supportive work environment. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples.
Salary range
The base salary will be HEW Level 10 which is $136,032 per annum, plus 17% superannuation. The total package will be $159,158 per annum.
