Job Description:
Summary:
The responsibilities of the ACCT 340 Teaching Assistant are to hold
virtual TA Office Hours to assist enrolled students for up to 5
hours per week up to the Final Exam, and communicate with students
regarding scheduled TA Office Hours through Canvas and email. The
TA is to notify students in advance if a change in scheduled TA
Office Hours is needed and communicate with faculty regarding
concepts or applications that may need additional attention during
class meetings based on student feedback/questions.
Essential Functions:
- Hold virtual TA Office Hours to assist enrolled students for up
to 5 hours per week up to the Final Exam.
Communicate with students regarding scheduled TA Office Hours
through Canvas and email.
Notify students in advance if a change in scheduled TA Office
Hours is needed.
Communicate with faculty regarding concepts or applications
that may need additional attention during class meetings based on
student feedback/questions.
Complete Workday payroll time sheet on a timely basis.
Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:
- Part-time.
- 5 hours per week.
Salary Range:
- $18.40 - $20.00 per hour.
Required Education and Experience:
- AU BSA, BS/MSA or MSA Student in good academic standing and
conduct standing.
- AU BSA, BS/MSA or MSA Student who has successfully completed
ACCT 340 with a B+ or higher.
- Patience and passion with the learning process.
- Proficient with Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills.
