Teaching Assistant Professor
The primary purpose of the position is to fulfill the teaching mission of the Department of Geography and Environment at UNC-Chapel Hill. The new faculty member will teach introductory courses in Human Geography, which might include courses in World Regional Geography; Geographies of Globalization; Development and Inequality; and advanced courses in accordance with their areas of expertise. They will be expected to teach a total of 3 courses each semester (9 credit hours) of in-person instruction, primarily to undergraduate students, for a total of 6 courses per academic year. The faculty member will also serve on various department committees which focus on the Department's teaching mission.
