Teaching Faculty (Open Rank),12 Month Salaried - Computer Engineering

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate courses in the Computer Engineering curriculum, with a special emphasis on the following areas: digital logic, circuits, microprocessors, VHDL, and computer languages.
• Teach elective courses that may be dual listed for both undergraduate and graduate students and participate in supervising or serving on thesis committees as appropriate to your expertise.
• Work with colleagues on campus and in the community to recruit students, promote the FSUPC Electrical and Computer Engineering program and engage with local initiatives to benefit student experiences and program access.
• Collaborate with colleagues at FSU Tallahassee ECE dept for course coordination and committee service.
• Be an engaged faculty member for the FSU Panama City campus.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have a doctorate degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution. Candidates who are ABD will also be considered.

Preferred Qualifications

• We especially seek candidates who have previous university teaching experience and the ability to teach a variety of courses in the Computer Engineering curriculum.
• Additionally, candidates with industry experience and a strong commitment to mentoring students as they prepare for career or graduate studies are highly preferred.
