MBZUAI is a research-focused university in Abu Dhabi, and the first university dedicated entirely to the advancement of science through AI. In 2025, MBZUAI launched its first ever undergraduate program, a Bachelor of Science in AI, with two distinct streams: Business and Engineering, and are looking for passionate and highly motivated Teaching Faculty.

The Undergraduate Division is seeking teaching faculty in Robotics to teach the course, "Rise of the Machines," which offers a comprehensive introduction to the fundamental concepts, systems, and applications of robotics, covering how robots are designed, programmed, and controlled for autonomous operation and environmental interaction.

Responsibilities include:

• Delivering high-quality instruction in Robotics and related areas of Artificial Intelligence.
• Designing and updating course content, practical exercises, and assessments aligned with current research and industry practices.
• Creating an engaging and interactive learning environment emphasizing experimentation and applied problem-solving.
• Supervise student projects and provide academic guidance and mentorship.
• Collaborate with faculty across departments to strengthen interdisciplinary teaching and learning.

Qualifications

This position requires a Ph.D. in Robotics, Computer Science, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.

Demonstrated expertise in robotics systems, control, motion planning, and sensing.

Experience with robotics platforms, simulation tools, and programming environments (e.g., ROS, Gazebo, MATLAB, Python, C++).

Strong commitment to teaching excellence and student success.

Teaching Experience: Proven teaching or training experience at the undergraduate or graduate level (or equivalent professional training experience)
