The Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN) is a Faculty of King's College London and the largest academic community in Europe devoted to the study and prevention of mental illness and brain disease.

The School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences (MHaPS) is one of three schools under the IoPPN, comprised of the four departments of Psychology, Social, Genetic & Developmental Psychiatry, Health Service & Population Research, and Biostatistics & Health Informatics. With over 100 Principal Investigators, our research spans development from childhood to old age, encompassing basic research through to the development and implementation of treatments, services and policy.

About the role:

This post provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to the blended delivery of programmes across the School of Mental Health & Psychological Sciences (MHaPS) at the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology & Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London, including the MSc in Developmental Psychology & Psychopathology, MSc in Applied Statistical Modelling & Health Informatics, MSc in Global Mental Health, MSc in Health Psychology, BSc in Psychology and a number of our clinical training programmes for mental health professionals.

The role will mainly involve supporting the MSc in Developmental Psychology & Psychopathology, but they may also contribute to other postgraduate taught courses in our School. The postholder will play a critical role in supporting existing staff in the School, with the continued development of their programmes for blended (online and on campus) delivery. Helping us to ensure that a high standard of accessible education and student outcomes are maintained in the context of our pledge to deliver flexible, blended, accessible and high-quality curricula during the coming academic year.

The successful applicant may deliver teaching in different formats, include lecturing, workshop, tutorial and practical teaching as required. There will be an opportunity to co-organise modules and develop teaching curriculum. In addition, the postholder may provide support for student research projects, undertake education-related administrative responsibilities, and contribute to the assessment of our students as well as the pastoral care of our students.

This is a full-time post (35 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed-term contract for 24 months from the start of the appointment.

The position is anticipated to begin around the start of the academic year, though there is flexibility if a later start date is necessary.

Please note that this role is primarily in-person on teaching days.
