Job Description

  • Full-time, Ongoing position at HEW Level 6.
  • Parramatta South campus with flexible working arrangements.
  • Salary: $95,777 – $102,659 per annum, plus 17% Super and Leave Loading.

The Opportunity

As a Teaching Operations Support Officer, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating academic and administrative services that ensure the effective delivery of learning and teaching across designated Schools and disciplines. You will contribute to teaching quality by overseeing timetabling, academic support processes, and classroom operations, while working closely with staff across the faculty and central Learning and Teaching teams.

In this role, you will use data analysis to support timetabling optimisation, academic workload planning, and curriculum coordination. You will also manage the Casual Employment Administration process, including allocation, rostering, and monitoring of hours to support compliance and budget tracking. Your work will directly support academics and professional staff, enabling consistent, coordinated and high-quality learning experiences.

You will be part of the broader Faculty professional staff team, contributing to collaborative projects and providing operational support where required across Schools. This position is well suited to someone who enjoys problem solving, navigating complex information, working across multiple stakeholders, and contributing to continual improvement initiatives.

What Success Looks Like:

  • Effective coordination of teaching support services, including LMS setup, assessment processes, and results management.
  • Timely and accurate management of timetabling, resource allocation, and classroom logistics.
  • Efficient administration of the Casual Employment Administration process, including rostering and tracking.
  • Accurate workload data analysis that informs resource planning and supports decision-making.
  • Well-coordinated liaison with curriculum support and central Learning and Teaching teams.

About You

 

  • Demonstrated experience in academic administration or learning support services.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Proficiency in timetabling systems, learning management systems and Microsoft 365.
  • Ability to interpret and analyse data to support workload, budgeting, and resource planning.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
