- Continuing Contingent* part time appointment (0.8 FTE, 28 hours per week)
- Level 5: $80,543 - $91,087 (pro-rata) + 17% Superannuation
- Southern Highlands Campus location
We are seeking a motivated Clinical Skills Technician to provide high quality administrative and technical support to the Clinical Skills team which facilitates simulated clinical teaching for medical student education at our new campus in the Southern Highlands.

The Graduate School of Medicine (GSM) aims to graduate excellent medical practitioners with a commitment to patient-centred, evidence-based, reflective and cost-effective medical practice, who have the capacity and desire to contribute to the enhancement of health care for persons in all geographic settings but particularly in regional, rural and remote communities. Closing the gap on Indigenous health and social outcomes is a priority and GSM aims to produce culturally safe medical practitioners. The Doctor of Medicine (MD) program is delivered primarily on two campuses located in Wollongong and Shoalhaven, as well as in numerous rural sites throughout NSW.
To be successful you will have completed tertiary study in a related field such as Nursing, Health, Allied Health or have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Familiarity with clinical simulation equipment and technologies in a teaching environment is preferred as well as sound communication, client service and interpersonal skills. Your previous experience in setting up equipment required for teaching practical/laboratory classes in a tertiary education setting, preferably but not limited to, disciplines of medical and health sciences will be highly regarded.

*Continuing Contingent: Refer to section 24 of the University of Wollongong (Professional Staff) Enterprise Agreement, 2023: This position forms part of an external funding agreement. Should funding cease and not be renewed the continuing appointment may be terminated on the basis of the contingency.
Special Job Requirements:
- This position will be required to work occasionally outside standard business hours or occasionally weekends, as dictated by the Laboratory Timetable and/or operational requirements
- Manual handling of clinical simulation equipment (including sharps and animal tissues) in a risk-controlled environment will be a part of this role.
