Offer Description
one candidate (m/f) for a position – Associate (Technology Transfer Associate) – for a fixed period of time, with full-time work, until the completion of the project: "Strengthening the Competencies of Students and Young Researchers in the Field of Healthcare Innovation" (PK.1.4.02.0009).
All candidates applying for the position must meet the general requirements prescribed by the Labor Act (Official Gazette Nos. 93/14, 127/17, 98/19, 151/22, and 64/23).
Mandatory conditions of the competition:
- completed education at qualification level 7.1 (higher education) in accordance with the Croatian Qualifications Framework Act-specifically, a completed university graduate study program, an integrated undergraduate and graduate university study program, or a specialist graduate professional study program in Law,
- 2 (two) years of professional work experience,
- computer literacy,
- excellent command of English (spoken and written).

Job description and responsibilities:
- provides professional, legal and administrative support to the technology transfer development coordinator (TT) in the implementation of project activities;
- participates in the mapping of research groups and IRI projects and the identification of research results and potential for transfer and commercialization;
- participates in the development, implementation and evaluation of technology transfer procedures and models and their integration into the Faculty's institutional processes;
- monitors announcements of new tenders and informs researchers about the most favorable lines of financing project proposals;
- provides legal support regarding the protection and management of intellectual property rights, including the preparation and processing of documentation related to patents, copyrights, and other rights;
- participates in the preparation, review, and processing of contracts, agreements, and other documentation related to technology transfer, the commercialization of research results, and collaboration with the business sector;
- participates in the preparation of project documentation, reports, and other materials related to project implementation and technology transfer activities;
- monitors relevant regulations and provides expert support in applying the legal framework concerning intellectual property, research and development, innovation, and technology transfer;
- participates in organizing and conducting events, workshops, and conferences related to technology transfer and connecting the research sector with the business sector;
- performs other professional and administrative tasks related to the implementation of project activities as directed by the Technology Transfer Development Coordinator and the Project Manager.
To apply for project it is necessary to attach: handwritten application, a CV, proof of citizenship (a copy of an identity document or a certificate of citizenship), a copy of diploma or a certificate of degree completion, a decision on the recognition of foreign educational qualifications for applicants who obtained their qualification abroad, proof of Croatian language proficiency (level C2 – advanced proficiency) according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages for applicants who are foreign nationals, proof of English language proficiency and computer skills, as well as other certificates demonstrating that the required conditions and advantages are met.
The term "work experience" refers to time spent in an employment relationship performing relevant duties following the acquisition of a specific qualification and the corresponding level in accordance with the Croatian Qualifications Framework.
Persons of both genders have the right to submit an application to the competition.
The faculty reserves the right, before making a decision on the selection, with candidates who submit a timely and orderly application and who meet the formal conditions of the competition, to conduct a test and/or interview of knowledge and skills. Candidates will be informed in a timely manner about the possible holding of testing and/or interviews. If the candidate does not attend the possible testing, it will be considered that he has withdrawn his application for the competition. The faculty reserves the right not to select any candidate for the this competition.
A person who has not submitted a timely and orderly application or who does not meet the formal conditions of the competition is not considered a candidate registered for the competition. An application that contains all data and attachments in the manner specified in the competition is considered a proper application. Late and incomplete applications will not be considered.
For candidates registered for the competition, who meet the formal requirements, the employer reserves the right to check the knowledge, abilities and skills essential for performing the duties of the position and the interview. In the case of carrying out the aforementioned checks, candidates are obliged to attend them, otherwise they will be considered to gave up their application for the competition.

Candidates invoking a right of priority in employment based on special regulations are required to cite this right in their application and submit all evidence prescribed by such regulations for exercising that right. Such candidates are granted priority in employment over other candidates only under equal conditions.

Candidates will be notified of the selection results within 8 days of the date the selection decision is made.
