The pay scale reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position. Within this range, the individual pay is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training, and work location. Please note that the compensation details listed reflects the base salary only.

Essential Job Duties
Key Responsibilities
- Contribute to the training of veterinary students in Equine Internal Medicine (40% FTE):
- Provide leadership and/or instruction for Year 3 and 4 courses and clinical activities.
- Participate in the curricular activities for Year 1 and 2 students, including but not limited to content expertise in Equine Internal Medicine, facilitation of Problem-Based Learning (PBL) activities, clinical skills laboratories, and other ancillary activities as determined in the curriculum development process.
- Pursue scholarly endeavors and professional self-development, with opportunities to engage in research, as negotiated (40% FTE if tenure track; 25% FTE if non-tenure):
- If tenure track: Develop a self-sustaining research program and participate in the development of post-DVM training programs.
- Participate in research mentorship of veterinary students.
- Participate in local, national, and/or international continuing education programs
- Clinical services, as negotiated and assigned (15% FTE if tenure-track; 30% if non-tenure), with the opportunity to develop a clinical program including medical and preventive services for horses in cooperation with area practices and institutions.
- Participate in college and university committees. Represent the college to external persons and agencies, including funding agencies (5% FTE).
