Temporary Employee - Lab Technician
Job Description
The Fish Facility for the Cell and Developmental Biology department is actively seeking a temporary lab technician to assist with the daily operations of the facility. Some of these responsibilities include:
- Feeding baby fish, juveniles, and adult fish daily up to 3 times per day.
- Maintaining paramecia cultures for feeding baby fish
- Recording and tracking water temperatures, conductivity, pH, and nitrites/nitrates daily.
- Adjusting water drip rates and water outlet sieves as fish progress in development.
- Maintain biological and particle filtration systems.
- Siphon, organize, and clean tanks as needed.
- Maintain supplies and media containers.
- Other tasks assigned by PI and Fish Facility manager

$7.25 - $18.00 Hourly Rate
