Your Role on the Team
Job duties include, but are not limited to:
- Provide program management, coordination, administration, and oversight for a portfolio of cancer research and training initiatives.
- Support the full lifecycle of grants and programs, including application support, implementation, tracking, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting.
- Coordinate education and workforce development programs across the cancer career continuum (high school through faculty), ensuring alignment with institutional and CCSG priorities.
- Maintain systems for program tracking, data collection, and outcomes reporting, including trainee progression, research outputs, and funding impacts.
What It Takes to be Successful
Required:
- Strong experience in program coordination, project management, or research administration in an academic or clinical research environment.
- Knowledge of grant processes and funding mechanisms (e.g., NIH training grants, research supplements, or similar programs).
- Ability to collect, analyze, and interpret program data to support reporting, evaluation, and decision-making.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports and coordinate across multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Ability to read, write, and follow written and oral instructions in English.
Preferred:
- Experience with high-level coordination, program management, and education training.
- Experience working within a cancer center, academic medical center, or research-intensive environment.
- Experience supporting interdisciplinary collaborations and large-scale, matrixed organizational structures.
- Knowledge of CCSG requirements, training grant reporting, and compliance documentation processes.
