About the Role 

We are seeking a talented Senior Front-End Software Engineer to join our Digital Technology Delivery team within the Information Technology department. Reporting directly to the Web Development Lead, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining user-centered front-end web solutions. Collaboration is key in this position, as you will work closely with Digital Technology Delivery colleagues, university stakeholders, and IT teams to effectively support Swinburne's Digital IT and Marketing strategies.

In this role, you will be responsible for the front-end development and support of Swinburne’s online presence and web-based applications. Your extensive expertise in front-end web development will be instrumental in providing technical advice, design and building innovative solutions, and addressing any challenges that arise. By liaising with university stakeholders and the Digital Technology Delivery team, you will engage in a variety of web development activities aimed at enhancing student acquisition, engagement, and retention, while also upholding key brand and reputation objectives. About You  

To be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities: 

•  Demonstrated technical experience building web-based solutions working from requirements, solution architecture, integration through the entire SDLC
•  Demonstrated experience working in a web development role for a large and complex organisation.
•  Demonstrated experience developing front-end solutions for Adobe Experience Manager v6.5.
•  Demonstrated experience developing front-end solutions using Node, Webpack, Typescript and Vue.js
•  Demonstrated experience using front-end libraries and frameworks such as jQuery and Bootstrap.

Qualifications

•  Postgraduate qualifications (or progress towards) in computer science, software engineering or web development is desirable with at least 5 years subsequent relevant experience working on complex projects or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
