Tenure-Track or Clinical Track Assistant or Associate Professor, Lecturer or Instructor in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology
The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory at the College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC) invites applications for a faculty position at the rank of Instructor/Lecturer or Open Rank Clinical Professor in Veterinary Anatomic Pathology in the Department of Veterinary Clinical Medicine and the Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory. The Veterinary Diagnostic Laboratory serves the State of Illinois, the College of Veterinary Medicine, and many national and international medicine and research groups. This position is a full-time, twelve-month appointment and is available beginning on or around October 16, 2025.

Requirements: Candidates must possess a DVM or equivalent degree and ACVP board certification or ACVP board eligibility. Advanced pathology training, experience in diagnostic veterinary medicine including surgical biopsy and necropsy, and excellent communication/interpersonal skills are preferred.

Duties: The successful candidate will function in the areas of diagnostic services, teaching and scholarly activity. Service duties will include necropsy examinations, surgical pathology, and pathology consultations with referring veterinarians. Teaching duties will include instruction of veterinary students, pathology residents and graduate students. Creative scholarly activity will depend on the candidate’s interests and may include collaborative or independent research.
Salary: The budgeted salary range for this position is $130,000 to $170,000. The pay offered to the selected candidate will be determined based on factors including (but not limited to) the experience and qualifications of the selected candidate including equivalent years in rank, training, and field or discipline; internal equity; and external market pay for comparable positions.
