Tenure Track Appointment in Public Management
The Department of Public Policy, Management, and Analytics (PPMA) in the College of Urban Planning and Public Affairs (CUPPA) at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) (http://cuppa.uic.edu/academics/pa) plans to hire a tenure-track faculty member at the Assistant Professor level beginning in August 2026.
We seek candidates who bring a strong commitment to an active research program and excellence in teaching at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. Engagement in service to the profession is also expected. Area of specialization is open, but preference will be given to candidates who can contribute to the department's public management research and courses. The ideal candidate will be able to contribute to one or more of the department's core competencies in statistics and data analytics, public policy, public and nonprofit management, financial management, or urban/local governance.
Candidates must have earned a PhD in public policy, public administration, political science, economics, or a related field by August 2026. Successful candidates will be required to teach a 2:2 load each academic year. The budgeted salary range for this position is $95-110K. This position is intended to be eligible for benefits. This includes Health, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, a Retirement Plan, Paid time Off, and Tuition waivers for employees and dependents.
