Position Description
The Department of Kinesiology and Health in the College of Education and Human Development at Georgia State University invites applications for a full-time, 10-month tenure-track position at the rank of Assistant Professor to begin in the Fall of 2026. Candidates specializing in an active sport management research agenda, a record of outstanding university-level teaching, and an interest and expertise in advising graduate-level research are strongly encouraged to apply.
The faculty member will: (1) teach undergraduate and graduate level courses in sport administration and related areas at the B.I.S., M.S. and Ph.D. levels (2-2 teaching load, teaching summer courses may be available on an annual basis); (2) mentor, advise and direct graduate studentsā theses and dissertations; and (3) provide service and engagement to the department, college, university, industry and profession.
Required Education
Earned Ph.D. in Sport Management, or a closely related discipline from an accredited institution by the start date of the position.
Preferred Qualifications/Experience
- Ongoing record of scholarly work commensurate with the rank of Assistant Professor.
- Excellent teaching experience in Sport Management or related areas.
- Ability to collaborate with faculty within and outside the department.

Salary
$68,000 - $77,000
