The Division of Hematology-Oncology in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Assistant Professor positions in the tenure track. Applicants must have an M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified and/or board eligible in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology.

Teaching responsibilities may include teaching medical students, graduate students, residents, and fellows, as well as advanced practice providers, pharmacists, and their trainees.

Clinical responsibilities may include care of patients with solid tumors, hematological malignancies, or patients with non-malignant hematology disorders, as appropriate for the applicant's background and experience.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include research related to solid tumors, hematological malignancies, non-malignant hematology disorders, immunotherapy, or other scientific areas broadly relevant to Hematology/Oncology.

Penn invites applicants with an investigative basic and/or translational research focus within the disciplines of hematology or medical oncology. The successful candidates will demonstrate a productive track record during post-doctoral research training with an ability to perform collaborative interdisciplinary science. As a faculty member, the successful applicants will be expected to establish an innovative, independent research program that will attract and maintain extramural funding from governmental agencies, private foundations, and industry. Additional responsibilities will include clinical activity and teaching with the PENN provider network, as well as participation as an active member of PENN graduate programs based on his/her research focus.
