We are particularly interested in investigators with research programs focused on cancer pharmacology and therapeutic development, as well as cancer-associated cardiovascular or neurobiological complications. Applicants with broader expertise in neuroscience, cardiovascular biology, or related disciplines are also encouraged to apply. Candidates employing cutting-edge approaches (e.g., single-cell omics, spatial biology, advanced in vivo and in vitro models, or computational methods) are strongly encouraged. Applicants with NIH K99/R00 awards or current or pending R01-level funding will be especially competitive.

LSU Health Shreveport offers a highly collaborative environment with strong institutional alignment in cancer research, cardiovascular biology, neuroscience, and addiction. Faculty will benefit from interactions with the Feist-Weiller Cancer Center, as well as interdisciplinary programs spanning pharmacology, microbiology, immunology, pathology, metabolism and translational sciences. Extensive core facilities and shared resources support advanced biomedical research.

Qualifications:

Applicants must hold a Ph.D., M.D., or M.D./Ph.D. in pharmacology or a related biomedical field, have a minimum of two years of postdoctoral training, and demonstrate a strong record of research productivity with a clear trajectory toward independent funding.
