The Title IX and Title VI Coordinator is a critical position responsible for continued implementation and compliance with the University’s obligations under Federal Title IX and Title VI, playing a key role in policy development, prevention, education, response, and investigation related to these areas. This position reports to the Associate Vice President for Student Life/Dean of Students, and serves as the central point of contact university-wide.
Job Description
Compliance Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain clear and comprehensive policies, procedures, and practices related to Title IX and Title VI.
- Ensure University compliance with all applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including Title IX, the Clery Act, VAWA, and Title VI.
Prevention and Education:
- Work with campus partners to develop and implement a comprehensive prevention and education strategy.
Response, Investigation, and Adjudication:
- Oversee and coordinate the intake, investigation, and resolution of complaints involving students, faculty, and staff related to Title IX and Title VI.
Leadership responsibilities
Directly supervise two staff members and provide indirect supervision to other Deputy Title IX Coordinators.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.
- At least 7 years of post-bachelor’s experience in higher education administration, administrative law, or a related field, with at least two of those years in Title IX administration, student conduct, administrative law or a related field.
- Experience with Title IX, Title VI, VAWA, and the Clery Act.
