This is an exciting opportunity to join an ambitious, forward-thinking, and vibrant team at a top-ranking Russell Group University. Responsible for the training and competency of technical and experimental teams across diverse sites, this role offers a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to apply their background in biomedical research, training, and education amidst state-of-the-art biomedical research facilities.

It also involves actively promoting a culture of care and the principles of the ‘3Rs’, with a particular focus on experimental support and design. The successful applicant will bring significant experience in the biomedical research sector, working under the Animals (Scientific Procedures) Act 1986 and other relevant regulatory frameworks (e.g. VSA, AWA 2006).

Experience and awareness of the responsibilities of named roles and excellence in research delivery are essential to ensure that processes and routines are fit for purpose, legally compliant, and supportive of a culture of care, while enabling the highest scientific and welfare standards.

The successful candidate will demonstrate strong commitment and enthusiasm for stakeholder engagement, delivering excellence, and proactively supporting a world-leading academic research community. We are committed to providing an inspirational environment for the right individual to thrive, grow their professional development, and contribute to a world-class research portfolio.
