The Financial Systems Department is hiring an Application Analyst to support the Revenue Operations and Treasury team at PCC. This position reports to the colleges Finance Systems Manager and has end-to-end responsibility for assessing user needs for enterprise applications, researching and recommending potential vendor solutions, developing applications when appropriate, integrating new applications into the existing PCC environment, and supporting applications once they are installed. The Analyst will also work with other teams at PCC to develop communication and/or training material as part of rolling out new and upgraded applications.

What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For

Typical Duties and Responsibilities

  • Works closely with vendors and contractors to ensure third party applications and vendor packages operate as documented. Identifies roles and responsibilities for support, maintenance, integration and extension of vendor or contractor developed applications.
  • Manages and maintains payment gateway application for the Revenue Operations and Treasury teams. Manages other integrated software and systems related to assigned departments.
  • Designs and develops application system modules based on approved requirements and completes appropriate testing of all components.
  • Manages implementation and post-implementation production support. Researches options for using and/or integrating third-party applications into the PCC environment.
  • Leads project planning discussions and works with users and technical staff to determine appropriate steps for project completion.
  • Manages active projects including updating status, and ensuring issues and action items are addressed.
  • Develops standard and ad-hoc reports for assigned departments and their staff.
  • Plans and develops data extracts based on user reporting needs, and facilitates access to the data through standard reporting tools.
  • Supports and develops solutions for on-line forms and document imaging.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associate's degree in Computer Information Systems or related discipline.
  • Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis.
  • Three years experience managing payment processing applications in a technologically complex environment.

These qualifications, skills and abilities are critical for success in this position. Throughout the screening process, you will be evaluated based on the demonstration of these success criteria.

  • Experience with development and implementation of application based projects
  • Experience supporting and integrating Higher Ed Finance systems (Demographics, Point of Sale, Purchases) or other systems with large database designs including both real-time and file based designs
  • Experience with design and development of customized reports using financial data from cloud based applications
  • Experience with Workday, or other ERPs
  • Knowledge of or experience with SQL, Java or other Object-Oriented languages
  • Knowledge of application data security (PCI, MFA, PII, FERPA), user access, and fraud prevention approaches
  • Knowledge of application coding practices and standards
  • Ability to plan, prioritize work assignments and manage time to meet critical deadlines
  • Good oral and written communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Five years experience in a Workday ERP environment with a Higher Education institution
  • Five years experience with TouchNet, CashNet, NelNet or other payment processing systems
  • Knowledge and experience with banking merchant services processing and eCommerce

How We Determine Initial Salary Placement

The first two steps of the range are: $80,090 to $82,488 per year. Higher salary placement may be available based on qualifications, experience and internal equity.
