Our Kennesaw campus is located at 1000 Chastain Road NW, Kennesaw, GA 30144.
Our Marietta campus is located at 1100 South Marietta Parkway, Marietta, GA 30060.
Job Summary
Instruct TRIO program students in core courses. Core courses include Foundations of Biology, Foundations of Physics, Foundations of Chemistry, Introduction to 9th Lit & Comp, Introduction to 10th Lit & Comp, Introduction to British Literature, Introduction to Spanish Language, Introduction to American Literature, Basics of Algebra I, Basics of Geometry, Basics of Algebra II, and Basics of Pre-Calculus, Advanced Mathematical Decision Making.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plans, organizes, develops and conducts a comprehensive instructional course for students enrolled in the Summer Academy
- Conducts integrated academic classes pertaining to the course
- Teaches students learning strategies
- Conducts teaching and instructional activities using educational equipment, manipulatives, props, and other learning aids
- Responsible for preparing and submitting a course syllabus prior to the start of the class
- Assists with the planning, instruction and evaluation of tutoring and problem-solving activities
- Completes paperwork associated with classroom and project management
- Makes recommendations on students' strengths and needs
- Reports student learning and behavioral issues to the appropriate staff personnel
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution of higher education
Other Required Qualifications
Current, valid and unrestricted Georgia teaching certificate
Required Experience
One (1) year of related experience
Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Experience
Experience with planning, organizing and implementing lesson plans with High School Students. Courses are non-accredited courses
Proposed Salary
The budgeted salary range for this position is $1,200 per course taught. The anticipated program timeframe is June 1, 2026- July 3, 2026.

Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines
KNOWLEDGE
Experience with planning, organizing, and implementing lesson plans
Experience with academic support programs, or similar programs for high school students
SKILLS
Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills
Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e., Microsoft Office suite)
Strong attention to detail and follow up skills
Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
