The School of Access Education is seeking a passionate and skilled individual to join our team at the Rockhampton campus and contribute to high-quality teaching in Australian First Nations studies.
Developing cultural competency through the First Nations Cultural Competency Framework is essential to ensuring culturally safe practices are embedded into all areas of the University. You will actively contribute to culturally safe approaches and apply your specialist knowledge to strengthen First Nations teaching, learning and research initiatives.
In this role, you will contribute to the delivery of the Enabling STEPS course, supporting students as they prepare for undergraduate study. You will deliver engaging tutorials and workshops on campus and online, provide academic guidance to students with diverse learning needs and undertake marking and assessment aligned to unit and course objectives. You will also assist in the development of high-quality teaching materials and unit content, with opportunities to incorporate research-informed practice under the guidance of experienced coordinators.

Position Requirements
- Completion of a relevant Bachelor’s degree.
- Demonstrated ability to contribute to high-quality teaching at undergraduate and graduate diploma level.
- Emerging or established experience in teaching and research.
- Well-developed communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with students, colleagues and a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, including other tertiary institutions and industry partners.
- Capacity to contribute to the School’s research, scholarship and service or community engagement activities.
