Twilight Veterinary Nurse (Part-Time) (2 Posts)

The Twilight Veterinary Nurse post is based at in the Small Animal Teaching Hospital at the Leahurst Campus near Neston, Wirral. This is an exciting opportunity to join the nursing team in our busy state-of-the-art-hospital. Predominantly based between patient care areas of the hospital including ICU and theatre. The nurse will work alongside the veterinary clinical staff and nursing teams to provide nursing assistance. You will be encouraged to fully utilise your nursing skills: this will include routine patient care, assisting in emergency and critical care, surgical nursing, anaesthetics and assisting the clinical services with the care of their patients to ensure the service is optimally functional.

You will be a qualified Veterinary Nurse with relevant experience. You must be flexible in work patterns, and you will be required to be on the nursing rota for weekends, Bank holidays and University closed days.

The hours are part time – Working between 11 and 33 hours per week (Monday to Friday), depending on the shift pattern. Shifts are 11 hours in duration, typically from 1:00pm to 1:00am (0.78 FTE), with opportunities for additional overtime.
