Basic Function
The Undergraduate Art Therapy Program Director, Assistant or Associate Professor will teach six courses per academic year (this reflects one course release for Directorship responsibilities). Courses include the catalog of undergraduate art therapy courses, including administration and instruction of undergraduate student practicum, which serves as undergraduate students’ capstone and holds the undergraduate art therapy program outcomes.
Essential Functions
- Faculty member may teach within the graduate program, as invited by the Graduate Program Director and as needed for course load.
- Faculty member may also teach within the art or psychology departments as invited by Chairs and as needed for course load.
- The Assistant Professor, Undergraduate Program Director will serve as primary undergraduate art therapy major advisor within the department and as an interdisciplinary, integrated major, will closely coordinate curricular program needs with the Art and Psychology Departments as needed.
- Annual undergraduate art therapy program and assessment reports will also be completed by this Director.
