Undergraduate Programme Administrator

The Faculty of Economics is seeking a highly motivated and well organised Undergraduate Programme Administrator to join our friendly and collaborative Teaching Support Team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a central role in the smooth running of all administrative aspects of our Economics Tripos programme - supporting students, academic staff, committees, examinations, and core teaching activities across all years.

About the Role

As a key member of the administrative team, you will provide comprehensive and proactive support to ensure the effective delivery of the Tripos programme. Working closely with the Deputy Faculty Manager (Teaching), Directors of Studies, and academic colleagues, you will contribute across a range of areas including:

Key Responsibilities

  • Committee Support: Coordinating meeting logistics, preparing agendas, circulating papers, and producing accurate minutes and action records for programme-related committees.
  • Teaching & Learning Administration: Maintaining teaching resources, supporting the organisation of teaching activities, updating information systems, and liaising with academics and supervisors across all Tripos years.
  • Assessment & Examinations Support: Assisting with the administration of Tripos examinations, including organising meetings, supporting paper preparation processes, working with central University services, and ensuring timely and accurate handling of documentation.
  • Student Support & Communications: Acting as a first point of contact for student enquiries, maintaining clear and responsive communication channels, and supporting key student-facing events such as inductions and Open Days.
  • Programme Operations: Contributing to the coordination of termly surveys, data collation exercises, reporting, and the preparation of documentation to support programme planning and quality assurance.
  • General Faculty Support: Providing flexible cover within the team and contributing to wider administrative activities as required.

About You

We are looking for an enthusiastic, adaptable individual who enjoys working in a dynamic academic environment. You will bring:

  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise effectively.
  • Accuracy, attention to detail, and confidence working with data and documentation.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling positive relationships with students and academic colleagues.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Outlook); experience with university systems such as CamSIS is desirable but training can be provided.
  • Initiative, flexibility, and a collaborative approach to working within a supportive team.

Why Join Us?

The Faculty of Economics offers a warm, collegial, and supportive working culture, with opportunities for development, excellent staff benefits, and a lively community atmosphere. You will be part of an experienced administrative team that values teamwork, professional growth, and a positive working environment.
