University Assistant / Associate Professor in Bioelectronic Systems

Applications are invited for a University Assistant/Associate Professorship in Bioelectronic Systems. The successful applicant will be based in the Electrical Engineering Division and will contribute to research on the application of electronic engineering to bioelectronic systems in areas including the development of analogue and digital circuits for implantable and wearable bioelectronic devices.

The Department of Engineering is one of the few truly integrated engineering departments in the world. It is also the largest department in the University of Cambridge, and this breadth and scale bring unique advantages. The current research portfolio in electronic engineering and bioelectronics contains many world-class contributions to research; the successful applicant will be expected to demonstrate the potential to build on this track record through research in bioelectronic hardware.

The successful applicant will be expected to provide innovative teaching in electronic engineering, including bioengineering, by contributing to undergraduate and postgraduate taught courses, laboratory coursework, supervising undergraduate projects, examining, and supervising postgraduate research students.

The position is based in the Engineering Department's Electrical Engineering Division on the University's Cambridge West Campus.

The interviewing panel will meet soon after the closing date to produce a short-list; references may be solicited. Short-listed candidates will be invited to the Department to take part in informal meetings with staff, give a short seminar/lecture and attend a formal interview. This process is expected to take place late November/early December 2025.
