Responsibilities
Program Director
We are seeking a visionary and experienced Program Director to lead our University College-The Bridge initiative. The ideal candidate will provide strategic leadership, program development, and operational oversight to ensure the successful implementation of our college preparatory program. As Director, you will be responsible for cultivating an environment that empowers students while managing a team of dedicated counselors and staff.
Duties and Job Responsibilities
Program Development and Implementation
In collaboration with University College, the Program Director will
- Design, develop, and oversee the comprehensive curriculum for the week-long overnight program and monthly workshops.
- Establish program goals, objectives, and assessment measures aligned with college readiness standards.
- Create and maintain program schedules, activities, and workshop content.
- Implement evidence-based practices in college preparation and youth development.
- Continuously evaluate program effectiveness and implement improvements.
Staff Management
- Recruit, hire, train, and supervise camp counselors and program staff.
- Develop and facilitate staff training sessions on program goals, student engagement, and safety protocols.
- Conduct regular staff meetings and provide ongoing coaching and feedback.
- Foster a collaborative team environment that promotes innovation and excellence.
- Evaluate staff performance and provide professional development opportunities.
Student Experience
- Ensure the delivery of high-quality programming that meets the academic, social, and emotional needs of participants.
- Develop and maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
- Oversee the implementation of all program components, including academic workshops, STEM activities, cultural explorations, and mindfulness practices.
- Manage student application and selection processes.
- Address student concerns and provide appropriate interventions as needed.
Partnership and Outreach
- Build and maintain relationships with schools, universities, community organizations, and corporate partners.
- Collaborate with educational institutions to align program content with college readiness standards.
- Identify and secure resources, speakers, and field trip opportunities.
- Represent the program at community events and educational forums.
- Engage families and communities in supporting student participation and success.
Administrative Management
- Develop and manage program budget and resources.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Maintain accurate records and prepare comprehensive reports on program outcomes.
- Secure and manage grant funding and other financial resources.
- Oversee logistics for overnight accommodations, transportation, meals, and facilities.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Education, Higher Education Administration, Student Affairs, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in program management, preferably in college readiness or youth development programs.
- Proven leadership experience with demonstrated ability to manage teams effectively.
- Strong understanding of college preparation, admissions processes, and higher education systems.
- Experience developing curriculum and educational programming for high school students.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Budget management experience.
- Grant writing and fundraising experience preferred.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during program implementation.

Program Assistant
We are seeking a dedicated and versatile Program Assistant to provide comprehensive support for our college preparatory program. This role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of both daytime educational activities and overnight residential components. The ideal candidate will assist with program logistics, student supervision, and administrative tasks while contributing to a supportive community that encourages personal growth and academic success.
Program Support
- Assist in the setup, execution, and breakdown of daily workshops, activities, and events.
- Support counselors in facilitating academic workshops in English, Math, and STEM fields.
- Help prepare materials for social skills development activities and team-building exercises.
- Assist with cultural field trips and exploration activities, including transportation coordination.
- Support the implementation of creative arts and public speaking workshops.
- Aid in organizing and facilitating the academic resources scavenger hunt.
- Assist with community-building events.
Student Support
- Provide supervision ensuring student safety and well-being.
- Assist students with questions about program activities and schedule.
- Help monitor student participation and engagement.
- Support students in developing practical skills such as email etiquette and academic resource utilization.
- Assist with mindfulness and resilience activities.
Administrative Duties
- Maintain accurate attendance records for all program activities.
- Organize and distribute program materials and supplies.
- Assist with meal coordination and dietary accommodation tracking.
- Help maintain a clean and organized program environment.
- Provide support with documentation and photography of program activities.
- Assist with daily check-ins and communications with participants.
- Support program staff with various administrative tasks as needed.
Logistical Support
- Aid in coordinating transportation for off-site activities.
- Help manage the inventory of program supplies and materials.
- Support emergency response protocols when necessary.
- Help coordinate meals and snacks for participants.
Qualifications
- Junior or Senior in College.
- Previous experience working in educational programs, camps, or residential settings.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Flexibility to work irregular hours, including early mornings, evenings, and overnight shifts.
- First aid and CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record.
- Ability to maintain high energy levels throughout extended work periods.

We are seeking dynamic and innovative English and Mathematics Instructors to deliver engaging, college-preparatory instruction as part of University College-The Bridge program. The ideal candidates will inspire high school students through interactive teaching methods that build foundational academic skills while fostering confidence and excitement about college-level coursework. These positions play a crucial role in achieving our goal of enhancing participants' academic readiness for higher education.
English Instructor Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging workshops focused on college-level English skills including critical reading, analytical writing, and literary analysis.
- Develop curriculum materials that introduce students to various academic writing styles, including essays, research papers, and rhetorical analysis.
- Teach effective strategies for reading comprehension, annotation, and textual analysis.
- Guide students in developing proper citation methods and academic integrity practices.
- Incorporate creative writing exercises that encourage self-expression and build communication skills.
- Provide constructive feedback on student writing to foster improvement.
- Collaborate with other program staff to integrate English skills into interdisciplinary activities.
- Create activities that connect English skills to academic resource utilization and public speaking.
Mathematics Instructor Responsibilities
- Design and deliver engaging workshops focused on college-level mathematics concepts and problem-solving strategies.
- Develop curriculum materials covering key areas such as algebra, pre-calculus, statistics, and logical reasoning.
- Teach effective approaches to mathematical thinking and application in real-world contexts.
- Guide students in developing study skills specific to mathematics coursework.
