Primary Purpose of the Position:
This counseling position is a 10-month appointment. Applicants should have at least one year of experience working in a college counseling center or a community mental health setting.
The Counselor will:
- Provide psychosocial education experiences to enhance students' mental well-being.
- Lead departmental outreach initiatives.
- Offer individual, couples, and group therapy.
- Deliver consultation and psychoeducational programming.
- Provide crisis intervention counseling.
- Maintain accurate documentation of services.
- Respond to after-hours emergencies.
- Accept referrals from faculty and staff.
- Utilize telehealth counseling technology and counseling apps.
- Consult with faculty and staff as needed.
- Organize and conduct outreach activities on topics such as substance abuse, test anxiety, severe mental illness, and stress management.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work evenings and occasional weekends.
- On-campus living is required; housing is provided as part of the position.

- Demonstrated proficiency at public speaking and presentations
