University of Pennsylvania Nephrology Faculty Position, Academic Clinician - Senior ranks
The Division of Renal-Electrolyte and Hypertension in the Department of Medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for several Associate or Full Professor positions in the non-tenure academic clinician track. Expertise is required in the specific area of care of patients with glomerular disease and additional training and expertise in transplant nephrology. Applicants must have an M.D. degree. Candidates should be board certified in Nephrology.
Teaching responsibilities may include teaching Penn students, residents, and fellows. The academic clinician track required 100 credits per year of active and high-quality teaching. Applicants should be outstanding educators.
Clinical responsibilities may include providing direct clinical inpatient and outpatient nephrology patient care at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania as a renal consultant, managing transplant patients and patients with glomerular diseases, nephrolithiasis, electrolyte disorders, complex hypertension, chronic kidney diseases, and acute kidney injury, and attending at an outpatient hemodialysis unit and inpatient dialysis unit.
There will be an expectation of the ability of the candidate to provide management and/or leadership. Rank will be commensurate with experience.
