DESCRIPTION (subject matter, expectations, comments): The candidate applying for the above-mentioned position must meet the requirements specified in Art. 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018 - The Law on Higher Education and Science (consolidated text: Journal of Laws of 2023, item 742, as amended) and § 89, section 1, item 2) of the University Statute - Annex to Resolution No. 71 - 2024/2025 of the Senate of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) of 31 March 2025 on the draft amendments to the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) and the draft consolidated text of the Statute of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW).

- statement confirming compliance with the requirements of Article 113 of the Act of 20 July 2018, the Law on Higher Education and Science (form issued by the secretary's office of the Institute of Sociological Sciences and Pedagogy of the Warsaw University of Life Sciences (SGGW) or by email);
- copy of diploma/certificate confirming the award of a doctoral degree and/or a postdoctoral degree in the field of social sciences or humanities in the discipline of sociology (or sociology), or another document confirming the possession of a doctoral degree and/or a postdoctoral degree in the field of social sciences or humanities in the discipline of sociology (or sociology);
- list of scientific achievements, including a list of scientific publications with the number of points earned;
- confirmation of project management or completion of a research internship;
- a list of teaching and organizational achievements;
- a statement or copy of a certificate confirming at least good knowledge of English or another congressional language.
- a declaration from the candidate regarding the declaration authorizing them to be included among employees conducting research activities (so-called N number) if employed at SGGW.

Eligibility criteria
The candidate is expected to:
- hold at least a doctoral degree in social sciences or humanities in the discipline of sociological sciences (or sociology) and have distinguished and internationally recognized scientific achievements in the field of sociological sciences;
- have experience in conducting scientific work in the field of sociological sciences, documented by appropriate achievements in the form of authorship or co-authorship of at least 20 scientific monographs or chapters in monographs or scientific articles (including at least 12 in scientific journals), which were published in publishing houses or journals included in the list applicable for the year of their publication, referred to in § 87, sections 1 and 4 of the University Statute, and after obtaining the postdoctoral degree, at least 5 scientific monographs or chapters in monographs or scientific articles (including at least 3 in scientific journals), which were published in publishing houses or journals included in the list applicable for the year of their publication;
- Obtaining from research activities (over the last 2 calendar years) an average annual number of points awarded for scientific articles, scientific monographs, or chapters in scientific monographs that is at least 50% higher than the minimum average annual number of points required to obtain a positive assessment of research activities for an academic teacher employed as an assistant professor, specified in the academic teacher evaluation rules in force on the date of application submission (the minimum average annual number of points required to obtain a positive assessment of research activities for an academic teacher employed as an assistant professor is 120 points);
- Experience in managing a project involving research or development work or the implementation of investments related to education and scientific activities, the maintenance of research equipment, a research station (SPUB), or special IT equipment (SPUBi), financed through a competitive procedure by a domestic or foreign institution or international organization, or completing a total of at least eight weeks of documented research internship at a foreign research center;
- documented teaching achievements, authoring textbooks, or managing teaching or educational projects within competitions run by external research funding institutions;
- documented achievements in the education of academic staff, such as serving as a supervisor or assistant supervisor in at least one doctoral dissertation or doctoral degree awarding procedure, or providing scientific supervision as a supervisor or assistant supervisor of a doctoral student at a doctoral school, or preparing at least one review of a doctoral dissertation or habilitation procedure;
- at least a good command of English or another congressional language, sufficient to independently write scientific publications in that language and present reports at scientific conferences; - command of Polish sufficient to conduct classes with students in that language.
The candidate will additionally have:
- teaching achievements and/or experience in sociological research methods, social research methodology, and/or statistics, and/or sociological theories;
- demonstrable scientific activity at a national and international level;
- Teamwork skills and flexibility;
- The candidate should demonstrate positive personality traits, particularly creativity, responsibility, conscientiousness, and diligence, communication skills, a willingness to expand knowledge, the ability to collaborate in national and international teams, and friendliness and loyalty to the team in which they will be employed.
