Salary: Dependent upon rank, Instructor $135,000 - $155,000, Assistant Professor $145,000 - $168,000, Associate Professor $170,000 - $212,000, Professor $195,000 - $340,000*
The Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine is seeking a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist with Uveitis expertise to join our eye care team at Wilmer Bethesda. This position offers the opportunity to practice independently while collaborating closely with our world-renowned team of ophthalmologists and subspecialists at our outpatient clinic in Bethesda, MD. The successful applicant will work in busy medical and surgical practice and will contribute to the educational and academic mission of the group.
- Provide comprehensive ophthalmic care in an academic, outpatient setting as a board-certified/board-eligible ophthalmologist, with a clinical focus on uveitis and ocular inflammatory disease
- Diagnose and manage a wide spectrum of anterior and posterior segment pathology, including complex uveitis, cataracts, glaucoma, and corneal disease.
- Collaborate in a multidisciplinary academic environment with subspecialists in retina, cornea, glaucoma, neuro-ophthalmology, and oculoplastic.
- Contribute to the development and growth of outpatient uveitis and comprehensive ophthalmology services within the Bethesda clinic.
- Practice in a well-supported clinic environment with skilled ophthalmic technicians and access to integrated electronic medical records and academic resources
- Opportunities for surgical care (e.g., cataract surgery) at local Hopkins ASC.
The position includes status as a full-time faculty member of the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and as full-time active staff of the Johns Hopkins Hospital.

Qualifications
- Completion of an accredited residency training program in Ophthalmology and board certification or board eligibility.
- Fellowship training in uveitis is required.
