Role and Responsibilities

The Vice-Chancellor serves as the Chief Executive of the University, entrusted with steering both academic excellence and administrative efficiency. The ideal candidate will be a role model to faculty and students alike and will embody the highest standards of integrity, scholarship, and leadership.

• Articulating and executing a compelling strategic and academic vision that positions the University as a regional and global leader in higher education.
• Leading the development of innovative academic programs aligned with the University’s mission to translate knowledge into real-world impact.
• Fostering a culture of research, creativity, and high-impact learning, utilizing cutting-edge pedagogical approaches. Promoting quality assurance and institutional accreditation to ensure excellence in academic outcomes.
• Overseeing the University's overall governance, administration, and compliance in alignment with the University Statutes and the Private University Act 2010 of Bangladesh.
• Building a strong institutional fundraising strategy and engaging global and national partners to advance the University’s mission.
• Strengthening national and international partnerships and collaborations with renowned academic institutions.

Candidate Profile

The Board of Trustees seeks a candidate with:

• A PhD degree from an accomplished university of the world and bright education career.
• Proven leadership experience in senior academic and administrative roles within reputable institutions.
• A distinguished record of scholarship, teaching, and research, with a minimum of 20 years of relevant academic or administrative experience, including at least 10 years of teaching at a recognized university—as per the Private University Act 2010.
• Demonstrated ability to inspire and manage multidisciplinary teams, foster innovation, manage crisis and deliver strategic outcomes.
• Experience in academic fundraising and resource mobilization will be considered a strong asset.
• A global perspective with the ability to represent the University on international platforms and enhance its global reputation.
