The Department of Pathology at the Yale School of Medicine is seeking applicants for the Virginia Swanson Scholar (VSS) program.
Qualifications
The VSS program attracts academically oriented, board-certified/eligible anatomic pathologists with a focus area in clinical/translational research. The ideal candidate will have published initial original research articles in a subspecialty area of anatomic pathology. Candidates are expected to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and highest level of integrity and citizenship. The VSS appointment will be on the Clinical Educator track with 50% protected time from clinical service work. The salary will depend upon level of expertise and accomplishments. The department will provide resources to support the VSS applicant’s translational research program.
The Department serves Yale New Haven Hospital and Bridgeport Hospital, major teaching and referral centers in southern Connecticut, and has a robust outreach program providing consultative services to regional practitioners and beyond.
