Visiting Assistant Professor
Position Overview
The School of Music at The Ohio State University invites applications for Visiting Assistant Professor position in Music Composition. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate courses in music composition and related areas. Candidates must demonstrate strong written, oral, and visual communication skills, and the ability to assess and evaluate student work effectively.
Performance Objectives
- Deliver high-quality instruction in music composition, electronic music, and related subjects
- Evaluate student work with clarity, fairness, and consistency
- Contribute to a positive and engaging learning environment
Required: Masters of Music degree
Desired: Demonstrated evidence of successful teaching in higher education. PhD or DMA in composition or a related field.
