Visiting Assistant Professor/Instructor of History
Franklin & Marshall College invites applications for a one-year visiting position in the Department of History beginning August 2026. The rank will be Visiting Assistant Professor or Visiting Instructor, depending on qualifications. Appointment is for nine months (August - May). This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Applicants should possess or be close to completing a doctorate (or terminal degree) in eighteenth and/or nineteenth-century U.S. History with an emphasis on public health and/or the history of medicine. Teaching experience required. Teaching load is 3/3 and may include U.S. History surveys, introduction to public health, historical methods, and upper level courses in area of expertise.
